phentBottlePromoDon’t worry folks, Phentirmene was an ingredient in the infamous ‘Fen-Phen’, but it seems ‘Fen’ was the villain in the duo and ‘Phen’(tirmene) was not found to be harmful. Phew! But wait, Phentremene does not contain either Fen or Phen, they are just ripping off the name of the popular prescription to make a quick buck.  For a moment there I had flashbacks of $13 billion dollar lawsuits and lots of folks suffering from heart problems, I guess all we’re dealing with here is poor knock-off.
You can purchase Phentremene in two different delivery systems, an encapsulated form, or a tablet. Innervital does not explain the difference, although in reviewing the ingredients it seems the capsules contain 650 mg of ingredient versus 150 mg in the tablet. Does this render the capsule more effective? The tablet is prettier however; white with pretty blue speckles. This was probably marketed with the ‘girlie-girl’ in mind.

So what is apparently safe and effective about Phentremene? It claims it will:

  • Suppress your appetite
  • Reduce weight with increased thermogenesis (your body’s increased ability to burn fat)
  • Block fat absorption
  • Increase your energy levels
  • Manage healthy cholesterol levels

Yeah-the usual. Let’s review Phentremene and see if there’s any truth to these claims, or if a company has simply stolen the name of a successful and well-known prescription weight loss product for their benefit, and is using that ‘celebrity’ to market it and trick consumers.

Phentremene Ingredients

Active Ingredients TABLETS 150 mg:

  • 1,3,7-Trimethylxanthine ł-A fancy name for Caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulator of the nervous system and increases energy levels.
  • 1,3-Dimethylpentylamine ł –produced naturally by Geranium flowers. Used in Phentremene products to stimulate weight loss.
  • Hydroxycitrate ł –a major component of the Garcinia Cambogia plant. This ingredient has been shown in animal studies to block the conversion of starches and sugars into fat, and to promote thermogenesis (fat burning.)

Other Ingredients TABLETS:

  • DiCalcium Phostate-a calcium used in pharmaceuticals to bind tablets.
  • Microcrystalline Cellulose-a thickening agent used to make compounds stick together.
  • Sugar-er…sugar.
  • Magnesium Stearate-used to bind tablets and make them smooth.

*These are all fillers and have no bearing on weight loss.

  • Active Ingredients CAPSULES 650
  • Phentylanolene Blend ł –I am assuming this is a fancy made-up name for phentermine, because no amount of research identified any ingredient by this name. Phentermine is approved as an appetite suppressant to help reduce weight loss in obese patients when used short-term (can be addicting) and is combined with proper diet and exercise.
  • Caralluma Fimbriata (Caramax) (Herb Powder) ł –an appetite suppressant that apparently helps you take control of your caloric intake, reduces fat deposits and lowers cholesterol.
  • Green Tea (40% extract) ł – boasts amazing antioxidant properties, increases energy and raises metabolism.
  • Garcinia Cambogia (50% HCS) ł – in clinical studies, this ingredient was shown to inhibit the production of fat and suppress the appetite as effectively as caffeine, without the jitters. (See warning in conclusion.)
  • Caffeine Anhydrous ł –is a dehydrated form of caffeine that powerfully accelerates energy levels. Unlike regular caffeine, caffeine anhydrous contains no water and acts faster than caffeine, and is used in diet products to increase energy and reduce weight.

Does Phentremene contain any  CLINICALLY PROVEN Top Rated Weight Loss Supplements Ingredients?

Actually yes. Both Green Tea and Caffeine have been tested to good effect. Green Tea has been shown in many clinical trials to increase fat oxidation in obese subjects, resulting in weight loss. Unfortunately dosage amounts,  in the case of Green Te are not given, so it’s hard to know if the product Phentremene contains enough of each to be effective. We somehow doubt it very much.

  • There is no explanation of the difference between tablet and capsule. Is it just a consumer preference? Is one more powerful than the other? Or is the tablet simply prettier?
  • Expensive at $49.97 for the tablet and $39.97 for the capsule with options to save on larger orders.
  • There may be one top rated, clinically proven weight loss supplement in this product, but the dosage amount is unknown.
  • There are plenty of side effects associated with this product; nausea, headaches, jitteriness, irritability to name a few.
  • Innervital’s return policy is complicated. You cannot return opened product, and returns need to be made within 30 days of purchase (not 30 days after you received shipment.) You must fill out their return form, and submit a return tracking number. Then you’ll need to pray-hard.

Conclusion

Innervital boasts non-prescription products that are prescription strength. Unfortunately only one of these claims is true (that would be the first.) This product is not going to work as well as prescription Phentermine. Period. They have listed fancy-named ingredients, but there isn’t anything fancy or remarkable about this formula. You may receive some good results, but you may also be victim to its side effects. And then there’s the Cambogia Garginia (HCA) warning. We won’t endorse any weight loss products containing this ingredient. If the FDA claims it’s harmful to your body, you’d better listen.
Bottom line-I’d stay away from this product and spend the money on whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies and maybe a pair of lycra bicycle shorts.
