I guess Metabo Up is currently Metabo Down because their official website is currently under construction.   This in and of itself gives us pause.  Further investigation into Metabo Up for this review, had to proceed from trolling other websites peddling it, and what we’ve found is less than satisfactory.

For one thing, try finding a standalone price on this product.  There doesn’t seem to be one.  Apparently the Metabo Up website (while functioning) failed to list a price, and it seems the only method of ordering Metabo Up at this time is by receiving it as a complimentary gift to $20 Lipozene.  This leads us to believe that it isn’t good enough to sell alone.

It supposedly ‘suppresses appetite, and increases energy’…and (grimace) the big old 48% claim above.  Well, the proof will be in the pudding…or the listed ingredients.  So let’s review Metabo Up and see…

Metabo Up Ingredients:

Metabo Up consists of a proprietary blend of taurine, arginine, ginseng, and theobromine.   Proprietary blends always make our asses twitch, but especially when they are as crappy as this one.

  • Taurine: A sulfur amino acid essential to heart and eye function, it also acts as an antioxidant, reduces blood pressure and cholesterol levels, helps strengthen the heart muscle and lessens the accumulation of lactic acid which causes fatigue.  Maybe this last attribute is the reason why it’s an ingredient in this product?
  • Arginine: Another ingredient to improve heart health.  Perhaps the next two ingredients are going to vamp up your heart rate so much, they threw in the first two to counter the effects?  Don’t see trace of an appetite suppressant yet…
  • Ginseng: Treats stress, improves mental clarity, and has been known to aid with chronic fatigue syndrome.  Hmmm…no ‘vamping’ of heart here…or appetite suppressing.
  • Theobromine: A weaker form of caffeine, and is found in dark chocolate.  It’s a heart stimulator, a diuretic and relaxes blood vessels, which can help with high blood pressure. At last!  Something that may make your heart beat faster, and therefore might, raise your metabolism.  But alas…no appetite suppressant.

  • Can I come up with one?  Well, if you enjoy tossing powder into your water bottle (think Crystal Light), then you might enjoy this product.  Not that it’ll do much more than Crystal Light, but it’ll sure make your water pretty.
  • Apparently when their website is up, this product as a full money-back guarantee, and you have thirty whole days to return it (I would think a third of that would be more than sufficient time to determine this product is crap.

  • Their website is DOWN.  Need I really say more?
  • The ingredients have little to do with speeding up the metabolism or suppressing the appetite, let alone losing weight-and none of them are on our clinically proven list.
  • This product seems to be a freebie when you order another.  You may be able to find alternate ways to order it if you do some investigatory work, but why bother?
  • There is absolutely no evidence to support Metabo-Up’s claim to ‘increase weight loss by 48%.’  Where did they pull that number from?  Apparently these claims are not backed up by clinical study…says someone who actually managed to review the website prior to it being taken down.

Conclusion

Throwing away your money, wiping your bum with it, or simply drinking it away yields the same result; you’re out of money and no closer to a thinner you.  Spend the $20 on signing up for the gym…or on buying several cases of Crystal Light.  You’ll actually get something for your money.
